Political prisoner Parfyankou spent 90% of his term in punishment cell

Vasily Parfyankou has been released after another incarceration in an isolation punishment cell, where he had spent 10 days.

The political prisoner has informed about that in a letter to an activist Volha Mikalajchyk, with whom he is in correspondence, “Radio Svaboda” informs.

“Finally, after 10 days of silence, I received a letter from him. In the letter our suspicions that he had been thrown into an isolation cell again, proved true. He wrote that while he was isolated, he was busy with statistics. He has figured out that out of the 253 days he had spent in Horki colony by that day, he was in isolation cell 226 days: either in a punishment cell, or in a ward-type room. He wrote that he is waiting for release impatiently. At that moment 45 days of imprisonment were left. He is cheerful, he holds on,” Volha Mikalajchyk told.

A Minsk dweller, Vasily Parfyankou, is serving the sentence in the penal colony in Horki. The activist was sentenced to a year of imprisonment in maximum security conditions for violation of the rights of preventive supervision, which was imposed after he was detained at the rallies of solidarity with political prisoners.
