Gazeta Wyborcza: Russia trains saboteurs on territory of Belarus

Russian special services are training an armed “fifth column” in the neighbouring countries.

This primarily refers to the territory of the former republics of the Soviet Union. Under the guise of youth camps Russian military and special services are training saboteurs, whose task is to destabilize the situation in the country and to start war, like in eastern Ukraine.

An article about that has been published by a Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza.

An organisation called “Kazachiy Spas” (“Cossack Saviour”) is active in Belarus. In summer it organises the so-called “camps of patriotic upbringing”. In reality, Russian troopers teach Belarusian children how to fight.

“Kazachiy Spas” invites 150 persons each time they hold a camp. They are taught history of Russia and of the Soviet Union, they also have shooting and hand-to-hand combat training. “We are trained by the military from 45th Detached Reconnaissance Regiment of Russia. We have not had wars for a long time. And Russians have a serious military experience,” the chairman of “Kazachiy Spas” organisation Petr Shapko said.

Similar organisations exist also in Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Kazakhstan. In addition to Russian military, “guerilla fighters” are trained by instructors from organisations “Descendants of victors”, the Council of veterans of the intelligence service of Russia and the International union of security service and local wars’ veterans.

“Russia carried out the same activities in Donbas and Crimea. There had been youth training camps there as well. They used the flags of the today’s so-called DNR and LNR,” a well-known military expert Dmitry Tymchuk has commented it to the Polish newspaper.

Security services of Moldova also inform that guys from the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia are undertaking a military training in Kazakhstan and Russia. There they are taught hand-to-hand combat, how to make Molotov cocktails and to resist to police effectively. The same activities are observed in Armenia, which has decided to join the Eurasian union of Vladimir Putin recently.

Attempts to launch sabotage training for young people in their countries have been detected in the Baltic States as well. However, local special services discovering them and terminating existence of such organisations.
