“Sovetskaya Belorussiya” got free use of “Alpha Radio”

“Alpha Radio” joins the publishing house based on the newspaper “Sovetskaya Belorussiya”.

To December 31, 2014 the council of Ministers has intrusted to transfer in gratis use 100 shares of ZAO “Alpha Radio” to the President Administration’s newspaper office “Sovetskaya Belorussiya”. The shares belong to the Republic of Belarus and are held by State Property Fund. The nominal value is 120, 000 of Belarusian rubles for a total amount of 12 million of rubles.

Last year “Alpha Radio” lost his office at Nezalezhnastsi Av. (next to underground Barysauski Trakt) which it had occupied for 14 years. The radio station moved to Printing House, the workplace for the state media and “Sovetskaya Belorussiya” was among them, reports TUT.by.

Before relocation “Alpha Radio” has changed the main themes. Now only music and news are on air.

Its pick of popularity “Alpha Radio” reached in 1999-2003s. Siarhei Kuzin took position of the DJ and production director. In 2004 he has left for Kiev so where he is still working.

Before it, Ministry of Information appointed a fresh leadership, which held majority shares at the rate of 51%. In spring 2003 the majority shares were transferred to Ministry of Information operational control. They were transferred by former shareholders, Business People Guarantee Fund of Ministry of Business and Investment. The private company “Bez Problem” holds the rest 49% of shares.
