Former political prisoner Hajdukou detained in Navapolatsk

Andrei Hajdukou was handing out leaflets about political prisoners.

He was detained at about 3 p.m. on November 21 in Navapolatsk. Charter97.org was informed about that by the press-service of the organizing committee for creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party.

Previously to that people in mufti were shadowing him, capturing on video. The activist was detained on his way home.

We remind that earlier Andrei Hajdukou was detained on November 8, 2012. He was charged with treason to the state in the form of carrying out covert intelligence work. On July 1, 2013 Hajdukou was sentenced to 1.5 years in a penal colony. Human rights watchdogs recognized Andrei Hajdukou as a prisoner of conscience. He was released on May 8, 2014.
