Azarenka 31st in WTA rankings

Belarus number one Victoria Azarenka, who decided to call time on the season ahead of time in order to restore from injuries, sits 31st in the WTA rankings.

At the recently published WTA rating list the Belarusian holds a total of 1,492 points.

The top ten players, according to the current WTA rankings, are as follows:

1. Serena Williams (USA) - 8,485 points

2. Maria Sharapova (Russia) - 7,050

3. Simona Halep (Romania) - 6,292

4. Petra Kvitova (the Czech Republic) - 5,966

5. Ana Ivanovic (Serbia) - 4,820

6. Agnieszka Radwanska (Poland) - 4,810

7. Eugenie Bouchard (Canada) – 4,715

8. Caroline Wozniacki (Denmark) – 4,625

9. Angelique Kerber (Germany) - 3,480

10. Dominika Cibulkova (Slovakia) – 3,052.

Belarus' Alexandra Sasnovich goes 145th. Olga Govortsova is currently at the 151st position.

Vladimir Ignatik holds the highest position (195th) among Belarusian tennis players in the ATP Rankings.
