Banks sell dollar for Br11,000

The dollar/ruble exchange rate has overcome the psychological barrier in Belarus.

The dollar official exchange rate for tomorrow, December 3, is 10,820 Belarusian rubles. Home Credit Bank sells dollars for 11,000 rubles, having overcome the new psychological barrier. This is the most unprofitable exchange rate in the country, but the exchange rate in other banks is only a bit lower, Nasha Niva writes.

Belarusbank, for example, sells the dollar for 10,930 rubles in the central office while several bank branches in other cities (Khotsimsk, Drybin and Hlusk) sell dollars for 10,980 Belarusian rubles.

According to the country's National Bank, the Belarusian ruble has fallen 2.46% against the euro and 12.92% against the dollar since the beginning of the year.
