Belavia to increase number of flights to Moscow in January

Belarus' national air carrier Belavia will increase the number of flights between Minsk and Moscow on 20 January 2015.

“Starting from 20 January Belavia will increase the number of flights to Domodedovo Airport in Moscow. The decision is behind the company's efforts to improve its service and meet the demand for travelling between the two capitals in full,” specialists said. The Belarusian air company hopes to see businessmen among its passengers on new flights.

New flights will be operated on Embraer-195LR.

Today Belavia offers regular flights to seven Russian cities: Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Sochi, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg and Samara. On 15 September 2014 the airline increased the number of flights between Minsk and Saint Petersburg to three times daily.

Belavia is the largest air carrier in Belarus. Since the start of 2014 the company added five more aircraft to its fleet. In late January 2014 Belavia acquired a juridical status of an open joint stock company. Belavia is based in the National Airport Minsk and offers regular flights to more than 40 destinations in Europe and Asia. Belavia's services meet the highest international safety standards. In January-November 2014 the airline transported about 1.86 million passengers, 22.5% more than at the same point last year.
