Political prisoner Dziadok deprived of a visit with his wife

Mikalai Dziadok is deprived of a conjugal visit with his wife, which he has been waiting for a year.

The political prisoner has been charged with malicious disobedience, threatening him another year of imprisonment. His wife Valeryia Khotsina suggests that the court hearing may be held in January. Before serving charges on Mikalai Dziadok, he was conducted to a psychological expertise, what is exercised with all prisoners before trial in prison. Examination results are still unknown. "And one more disappointing news: he is denied the visit, which we have been waiting for almost a year", Valeryia Khostina said.

"He is denied the visit, which has been projected for January 5. As 10 days ago he allegedly created a conflict in the prison cell. And then he said that he had finally decided to be placed into solitary confinement. The lawyer expects the case is over either in the end of December or beginning of January. He cannot affect it," she said.

According to Valeryia, her husband did not find himself guilty of the occurred conflict in the cell. "He is standing tall in moral sense", she says. She believes that it has been decided not to release her husband before the presidential elections so this is the reason for an additional case.

Mikalai Dziadok, the activist of an anarchist movement, has been sentenced to 4 and half years of imprisonment for violence towards official buildings, which he did not recognize in the court. Mikalai has refused to sign a petition for pardon. The political prisoner serves his term in Mahileu prison. Also there is a former contestant for presidency Mikalai Statkevich, sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment.
