A coordinator of the youth network of Radio and Electronic Industry’s trade union Andrej Stryzhak is working as a volunteer of the EuromaidanSOS initiative.
- We have three hot lines, which receive calls from the injured and potential volunteers, - Andrej Stryzhak told Solidarity. – One hot line receives roughly ten calls a minute. Many want to donate blood for the wounded, but doctors say that there is enough donor blood. We have a connection established with volunteer groups, which deal with relocating the wounded and delivering medicines and foodstuff. This is not only Automaidan, but also just compassionate people.
I was in Maidan at 9 a.m. before the situation aggravated and before the shooting. People around me were reserved and calm. After the events of the past two nights and the storm of Maidan they are victory-oriented. No one pays attention to the information on “the Ukraine-wide anti-terroristic operations”. The people intend to stand till the end.
According to Andrej Stryzhak, by midday Kiev time the situation was very tense: many bullet wounds, people are taken by ambulances.
