Yanukovych promises to sign agreement on settlement of crisis at 12:00

The news appeared on the website of the Ukrainian president.

“Negotiations on the settlement of the political crisis in Ukraine between President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, leaders of the opposition, EU and Russian representatives have finished. The parties have agreed to initial the Agreement on the Settlement of Crisis,” the official press release says.

The deal is expected to be signed at 12:00 local time in the Ukrainian Presidential Administration.

It became known earlier that the negotiations between EU foreign ministers and Yanukovych were suspended. The foreign ministers of Germany and Poland plan to have another meeting with the Ukrainian president today.

“The negotiations continue. We plan to have one more meeting with the president before the lunchtime,” head of the European Union Delegation to Ukraine Jan Tombinski said after the talks.

The meeting lasted 9 for hours until 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Interfax news agency reports.

The foreign ministers of Poland and Germany refused to answer questions when leaving the presidential administration building. Party leaders Arseniy Yatseniuk (Batkivshchyna), Oleh Tiahnybok (Svoboda) and Vitali Klitschko (Udar) left the administration building through another exit avoiding journalists.

Russia's ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov left the presidential administration earlier. He refused to talk to the press. French ambassador to Ukraine Alain Remy also declined to give comments.

We remind that Udar's Vitali Klitschko, Batkivshchyna's Arseniy Yatseniuk and Svoboda's Oleh Tiahnybok left the parliament building for talks with president Viktor Yanukovych and the foreign ministers of Poland, Germany and France.
