Mahilou head teacher to activist: Protect your rights at Maidan

An activist of Mahilou wasn't allowed to write his proposal in the school's book of complaints and proposals.

Aliaksei Paulouski (in the picture) wanted to write a proposal in the book of complaints and proposals of secondary school No. 33 in Mahilou, Viasna human rights centre reports.

“I went to the school to propose replacing metal benches on the school's stadium with wooden ones. Children catch a cold if they sit on cold metal benches. There are always puddles under the benches. No one cares about it. The head teacher's secretary called her and said my proposal, but the head teacher ordered not to give the book of complaints and proposals to me,” he says.

The secretary told him head teacher Tatsiana Hladkaya advised Paulouski to go to Maidan to protect his rights instead of making demands to her.

Aliaksei Paulouski plans to file a complaint to the Mahilou city executive committee.
