Lukashenka: Idiot doesn't draw conclusions from Maidan

The dictator again speaks about the events in Ukraine.

Lukashenka says corruption was one of the reasons for the political crisis in Ukraine.

“The collapse in Ukraine was caused by the economic collapse and rampant corruption. These are the two reasons that destroyed the country,” Lukashenka said Tuesday at a meeting to discuss the admittance to universities and vocational schools, Interfax news agency reports.

“However good the economy may be and however hard we work, the rust of corruption, if it exists, will corrode everything,” the dictator said.

“God forbid we find corruption at our universities,” Lukashenka said to the ministers and heads of educational institutions. “Only an idiot in this room won't draw conclusions from the events in Ukraine,” he added.

Lukashenka promises to reveal new facts of corruption among officials.

“We will reveal all facts in the near future. We've stopped speaking about crooks and corrupted officials in the media, but many ministers [former ministers] are held in jail,” he said.

“I've just received a report about Voukau. You must remember Voukau [former deputy director of Belneftekhim]. His defenders, the prime minister, the first deputy prime minister said Voukau was a holy man. However, eight or eleven bribes were recorded by technical means. Let judges don't think I am interfering with the investigation,” Lukashenka said. “We have many such people. I will tell you about them soon,” he added.
