Lyapis Trubetskoy's concert banned in Tyumen

Lyapis Trubetskoy planned to play a concert at Gorky club in Tyumen (Russia) on March 20.

The club administration said two days before the concert that it was cancelled.

The band chose another venue for the gig – Mirazh club. The musicians learnt on the day of the concert was cancelled again, Salidarnasts writes.

“Unfortunately, our concert in Tyumen was banned,” the musicians wrote on Facebook. “We moved the gig from Gorky club to Mirazh. Its director was invited to the city administration the evening before the event and told: If you don't cancel the concert, your club will be closed tomorrow, we'll find reasons. Mirazh had to surrender.

As a result, after a sold-out concert in Yekaterinburg, having more than 600 sold tickets for a gig in Tyumen, Lyapis Trubetskoy had to return home to Minsk. Folks of Tyumen! We are sorry about that. Struggle for you rights. We'll play a gig in your city in the future, which we hope will come soon.

Lyapis's concert in Pskov was also cancelled on March 14.
