Ukraine’s Parliament is asking the world not to recognize the annexation of the Crimea.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Declaration “On fighting for the liberation of Ukraine”, obozrevatel.com reports.

The document was supported by the votes of 274 parliament members.

The Parliament points out that “for the first time since the end of the World War II Europe’s commonly recognized borders are being cynically “redrawn” by a country that guaranteed Ukraine’s territorial integrity and the inviolability of its borders by a number of multilateral and bilateral agreements”, - the declaration reads.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, having adopted the declaration, addresses all the members of the international community with an insistent request to abstain from international recognition of the so-called “Republic of Crimea” and the annexation of the Crimea and Sevastopol and inclusion in the Russian Federation as new territories.

“On behalf of the people of Ukraine The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine states that the Crimea has been, is and will be a part of Ukraine. Ukrainian people will never, under no circumstances will stop fighting for the liberation of the Crimea from occupants, whatever difficult or long this struggle is”, - the declaration reads.
