Four-day week at BATE plant

The Barysau plant of automotive and tractor electrical equipment (BATE) has started to work four days a week.

Industrial plants across the country are reported to have moved to a four-day working week. The news came from the Minsk Automobile Plant, the Horizont plant, the Brest brewing plant and the meat canning factory in Orsha, ex-press.by reports.

BATE, the key plant of Automotive Components group of companies, began to work four days a week in March. The plant has begun what it delicately calls “workforce optimization”.

Another plant of Automotive Components group of companies, Ekran, moved to a four-day working week in February.
