Home voting in Baranavichy took the speed of 15 seconds per person

At the polling station number 49 the electoral commission managed to visit 400 voters in one and a half hours.

Whereas at the polling stations, where there were no independent observers, the turnout at early voting reached 30% and more percent, then at the polling station number 49, where observers were present at all times, the number accounted to 19%. But this was compensated at the account of home voting: the polling station commission managed to visit 403 voters on the day of the elections. This is more than the number of the people, who came to the polling station in the five days of the early voting. A quarter of all the voters, registered at the polling station, took part in the home voting, the local media Intex-Press reports.

According to an observer Viktar Syryca, only two commission members arranged home voting, who went on rounds two times and were absent for roughly an hour and a half. Even if it was two hours, they would have spent approximately 15 seconds per voter.

“This time is required to find the right house, go up to the apartment, register the ballot and wait until the person votes. They did that 403 times! It is a fantastic speed”, - he said.

Home voting is for voter, who cannot come to polling stations due to health conditions or other valid reason. The person should notify the commission that has a special list of voters, who express the desire to vote at home.

“Despite my requests, no one showed the list to me. Anyway, it is hard to believe that at a polling station 26.5% of the voters are handicapped and gravely sick, who requested that the polling box was brought to their homes”, - Viktar Syryca says.

There was a similar situation at the polling station number 43, where Siarhiej Housha observed. According to him, the commission managed to visit 423 voters on the day of the elections in three hours!

Siarhiej Housha has already submitted a complaint to the Baranavichy territorial electoral commission with a request to study such an incredible speed of the commission. Together with Viktar Syryca they have also prepared appeals to the prosecutor’s office on the claim of rigged elections at their polling stations.
