Ocean Elzy concert in Warsaw turned into action of solidarity with Ukraine (Video)

The Ukrainian band played in the Polish capital on the Freedom Day.

Ocean Elzy concert that took place in the Stodola club turned into a large-scale action of solidarity with Belarus and Ukraine.

A charter97.org, web-site’s correspondent reports that over 5 thousand people attended the event. Among them there were many Belarusians, Ukrainians, Poles. Before the concert started, the audience gathered at the entrance to the club and sang Ukraine’s National Anthem and chanted “Glory to the nation! – Glory to heroes!”.

Many people were holding Belarus and Ukraine’s national flags.

“Now we will check your patriotism”, - Svyatoslav Vakarchuk said before playing the song “Arise”. In response the audience raised high white-red-white and yellow-blue flags. Just like with many other band’s songs the audience sang this one along with the musicians.

When singing “The Wall” the band’s singer wrapped a Ukrainian flag around himself. The song “I will not surrender without fighting” produced incredible encouragement with the audience. The whole bunch of people sang it along with the musicians. The concert ended with the song “You’re not alone, I’m not alone”, which was very symbolic, considering the concert itself turned into a manifestation of solidarity with Ukraine.
