Alena Kavalenka summoned to police because of “election” boycott

The wife of a former political prisoner Siarhiej Kavalenka is persecuted for a rally near a polling station in Vicibsk.

“An hour ago policemen brought me a subpoena. For the “elections” boycott I am being summoned to Piershamajski police department at 11 a.m. tomorrow under the article 23.34 of the Code on Administrative Conduct – “Violation of the procedure of organizing or holding mass events”, - she said.

We would remind that activists of the CChP BPF arranged a rally on 22 March near a polling station in Viciebsk. Jan Dziarzhaucau and Alena Kavalenka took part. The activists unrolled a banner saying “Boycott to the electoral farce” and publicly tore part invitation to the “election”.
