Two-day queues for trucks on Polish-Belarusian border

Long queues of trucks can be seen on the Polish-Belarusian border.

Drivers have to wait for 40 hours to cross the border at Kuznica checkpoint and 34 hours at the checkpoint in Bobrowniki. The shortest queues are at Koroszczyn checkpoint, but drivers have to wait for at least 24 hours,” RMF FM reports.

The situation is caused by the forthcoming Easter holiday and the increased demand for goods, mainly food.

The border services and the police set up buffer zones to split the queues and simplify movement for residents of the near-border districts.
