William Hague: Russia should stop destabilising Ukraine

The UK's foreign minister demands that Moscow stop its aggression against Kyiv.

William Hague said Russia destabilised the situation in Ukraine. “Russia must desist from steps which destabilise Ukraine and undermine the possibility of Contact Group talks,” he thinks.

The head of the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office said the EU foreign ministers would meet in Luxembourg on Monday. William Hague said the EU should have the common clear policy on Ukraine.

Moscow continues to threaten that using force by Kyiv against the separatists and extremists in Ukraine's southeast will undermine prospects for cooperation, including a four-party meeting. It was said by Russian FM Sergei Lavrov in a telephone conversation with the US Secretary of State John Kerry.
