Armed militants seize police stations in Donetsk

The Petrovsky district police station in Donetsk was seized last night.

The website 62.ua has learnt it from eyewitnesses.

The police didn't resist. A prosecution officer says a police department and a prosecutor's office in the Marinka district (the Donetsk region) were taken over.

The information was neither confirmed nor denied officially.

On the evening of April 14, the city council building in Kurakhove, the Donetsk region, was seized, a local resident reports.

Russian saboteurs seized a police station in Slavyansk on April 12. The police carried out an anti-terror operation in the town on April 13. As a result, nine people were wounded and one Ukrainian officer was killed by occupants.

The National Security and Defence Council decided to launch a large-scale anti-terror operation with the involvement of the army.

The separatists and Russian saboteurs continue to control administration buildings in several towns in Ukraine's east, from Slavyansk to Mariupol.
