EU adds Arbuzov, Klymenko, Ivaniuschenko and Stavytsky to sanctions list

The European Union has extended the list of Ukrainians whose assets within the European Union will be frozen and who are prohibited from entering the European Union.

Ex-deputy premier of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov, MP Yuriy Ivaniuschenko, ex-income and tax minister Oleksandr Klymenko and Ukraine's ex-energy and coal industry minister, Eduard Stavytsky, have been added to the list.

These people have been identified as being responsible for misappropriation of state funds in Ukraine, and their assets within the European Union will be frozen.

The list of persons subject to sanctions has been published in the EU Official Journal.

This brings the total number of persons subject to an EU asset freeze in connection with the embezzlement of Ukrainian public funds to 22, noted the ministers in a statement.

The legal acts, including the list of persons subject to sanctions, will be published in tomorrow's edition of the EU Official Journal.
