Jacek Saryusz-Wolski: Putin is preparing attack on Latvia

Next victim of Russia’s military aggression in Eastern Europe may be Latvia.

This was stated by a European Parliament member for Poland, former vice-speaker of the European Parliament Jacek Saryusz-Wolski on the air of Espreso TV.

“We are observing very disturbing actions which concern Latvia. Similarly to how in Crimea before the annexation secret studies of public opinion were done, similar studies were done in Latvia. This is a wider plan of restoration of the Russian Empire”, - Jacek Saryusz-Wolski said.

The politician believes that although the main object of Russia’s aggression will be Ukraine, under the pretext of protecting Russian minorities Russia may attack other neighbors in an attempt to restore the Russian Empire in the USSR borders.

We would point out that out of Latvia’s 2 million-strong population there are 600 thousand Russians. 200 thousand of them are non-citizens, since they refused to learn the Latvian language or did not pass the exam.
