KGB don’t comment on appeal by “Hrodna commandoes”

The press-service of State Security Committee (KGB) refuses to comment on the video appeal by some “Whirl” squad from Hrodna.

Yesterday a video was spread on the internet with an appeal by “Belarusian partisans from Hrodna”, in which armed camouflaged people expressed solidarity with Ukrainian separatists. If the video had been actually filmed in Belarus, this means that possibly illegal armed formations had emerged in Belarus. How do law enforcers react to that?

At the KGB department for Hrodna region they advised a Nasha Niva reporter to ask the central office: “We send all the information there, they make summaries”.

But at the press-service of the State Security Committee they left the question without an answer. The head of KGB’s press-service Artur Strekh when asked, whether KGB knew about the video or whether the information was under inspection, responded: “This would be a commentary, while we do not comment on this issue. If there is information, we will inform the public in due order”.
