Mahilou ‘Stroymashina’ plant goes on four-day working week

17

The enterprise’s storehouses are filled with non-selling products.

The plant is not working on 11, 11, 25 and 28 April, the local newspaper “Our Mahilou” reports.

According to the journalists, the enterprise has seen a sharp reduction in the number of orders as fell the demand for their products. This all has led to stockpiles growing. The plant also suffers from the lack of financial resources for purchasing parts and materials.

In order to use financial, material, fuel and energy resources rationally, the management has taken such measures according to the article 71 of the Labour Code.

It is yet unknown how the plant’s workers will be working in May, however it is not ruled out that the idling scenario will repeat itself.
