Participants of Chernobyl’s Way detained (Video)

Policemen have detained three participants of the march held in Minsk.

It has been reported by eyewitnesses and participants of the event. In particular, it has become known that activists Yury Rubtsou and Leanid Smouzh were seized in a trolleybus. The name of another detainee is Mikalai, his surname unknown. They were got out of the trolleybus and taken away in an olive minibus.

We remind that a demonstration has taken place today in the capital of Belarus. It is dedicated to Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster. It had been authorized by the Belarusian authorities. Organisers of the Chernobyl’s Way received an answer from Minsk city executive committee, according to which the march was permitted along Independence Avenue and Surhanau Street up to the Park of Friendship of Nations.

It had been decided to hold the event under slogans of defence of Belarus from a nuclear threat on the part of Russia.
