Over a week Russian military staged 88 provocations on Ukrainian border

Dozens of provocative actions by Russian military have been recorded in close proximity to the Ukrainian border.

It has been stated today at the briefing in Kyiv by the spokesperson for the State Border Service of Ukraine Oleg Slobodyan, UNIAN informs.

In particular, as said by him, they include military aircrafts’ flights near the state border, observation of actions of border guards by unknown persons and so on. The representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine has noted that since last Thursday, April 24, these actions had been intensified.

At the same time, Slobodyan said that last week border guards had not established visually any border violations on the part of the Russian Federation.

“We do not observe any violations of the state border visually,” he said.

As said by him, the State Border Service continues to take active measures to prevent incursion of extremists, pro-Russian radicals who are citizens of Ukraine, to the territory of Ukraine, from the territory of Crimea as well. They prevent trafficking of arms and other prohibited items.

In general, over the last week decrease of passengers and traffic flow at the Ukrainian-Russian border by 19% has taken place, Slobodyan informs.
