Prakapovich and Miasnikoivch refuse to meet with market traders

A forum of market traders will be held in Minsk on April 7.

Charter97.org has learnt it from Anatoly Shumchanka, the head of the council of Perspective organisation.

“The forum begins at 12:00 on April 7 in the great hall of the parliamentary building at 39, Miasnikov Street. The hall can seat 438 people. Representatives of the authorities are unlikely to attend the event. The Tax Ministry says it's possible that its representatives won't come, let alone Miasnikovich and Prakapovich. We don't know what the State Standartisation Committee, the Business Department and the Ministry of Trade have decided,” he said.

Perspective's head added the forum would discuss the draft decree on the work self-employed businessmen, which Lukashenka ordered to improve and use from July 1, 2014.

“The key problems are certificates and support documents. People from Minsk and regions will discuss whether they agree with the issue or not. It's clear that most businessmen are against it,” Anatoly Shumchanka said.

Market traders criticise the draft decree “On certain issues of selling goods by self-employed businessmen and other individuals”. They say the requirement to have compulsory support documents is impossible and ask to cancel it.
