Lukashenka: West is incapable of anything today

Belarusian dictator calls the EU and USAs sanctions against Russia complete nonsense and trifle. He claimed that today at a meeting with the governor of Russias Kaluga region Anatoliy Artamonov, BelTA reports.

Sanctions and stuff are a complete nonsense and trifle. This is all just blabbering. The West is incapable of anything today. We should be coming from that, - Lukashenka said.

He pointed out that, firstly, Belarus knows what sanctions are, since it has been sanctioned for already two decades. Secondly, the freak has not been born yet, who does not understand what Russia is and what sanctions are and how they may backfire, - the head of the Belarusian state said.

Thirdly, what is the most important, we will be dealing with our domestic issues and solve our problems. They will help us strengthen internally, so we become simply unshakable. This is what sanctions lead to, - the Belarusian leader pointed out. He continued: They provoke a situation, when the whole nation, all the people rally around the flag on the problems of this or that country. It is not for me to tell you about the character of a Russian: the more you press him, the greater will be the effect on the one who presses.

That is why let us work in the way that we do not get reprimands our way later that he had not used this favorable moment, - he said.

We would remind that Lukashenka has recognized the fact of the occupation of Crimea in late March. Apart from that, over a period of the past two month several joint rounds of military exercise of Belarus and Russia took place in the territory of Belarus. Part of them took place at Ukraines borders.
