Bold action: Lights spelling ‘May he die’ abbreviation lit in Minsk city center

44

The action took place near Jakub Kolas square.

It was arranged by Zmena activists on 3 April. They attached the lights garland to a timber framework spelling the letters SH, O and S in Cyrillic and then lit it, Nasha Niva reports.

The event did not go on for long. The garland was confiscated by police. We would remind that the abbreviation SHOS gained popularity in Belarus after the 2010 presidential elections. It stands for the first letter of the phrase ‘May he die’.
