Boycotting the Lukashenka regime is the only way to save the country's independence.
Belarusian film director Yury Khashchavatski spoke to charter97.org about the latests events in eastern Ukraine.
“It would be possible in Belarus, but there's one circumstance – it already happened. We have only one person who seized the administration. And he surrendered Belarus to Russia long ago,” he thinks.
The director says the louts, who had acted in Russia in 1917, act in Ukraine now.
“In Belarus, we have these louts in power for almost 20 years. It's hard to struggle with them, but it's possible. We need to stop any cooperation with the authorities, even indirect cooperation: not to vote in 'elections', not to take part in subbotniks (voluntary labour days), not to watch television and so on. We need to boycott the Lukashenka regime. In this case something will change” Yury Khashchavatski is confident.
Separatist rallies were held in eastern Ukraine on April 6. Pro-Russian activists seized regional administration buildings in Donetsk and Kharkiv. The Security Council building and a department f the National Bank were seized in Luhansk. The Security Council building was taken over in Donetsk.
