Belarusians have many ways of resisting the Kremlin’s occupation.
It has been stated by Vinsent (Zmitser Papko), a musician, in an interview to charter97.org.
“I believe that repetition of the events taking place in Eastern Ukraine now is possible in Belarus as well, as there is no border with Russia and no border control there. But the problem is, we have been witnessing a similar a situation in our country for almost 20 years. That is, actually, we are not masters on our own land,” the rap musician stressed.
However, the musician has underlined that Belarusians must and should resist the Russian occupation.
“The main weapon in this struggle is informing the population through independent mass media, as unfortunately, our society is brainwashed and zombified by Russian propaganda. And in this case it is necessary for everyone who understands the situation and has access to independent information, to start explaining to their family and friends what is going on in reality. Another effective means of struggle against the Kremlin is boycott of Russian goods. As for me, I do not buy them at all. Anyone can do that. But the main thing is changes in our heads,” he concluded.
We remind that on April 6 separatist provocations took place in the East of Ukraine. In particular, pro-Russian activists occupied regional administration buildings in Donetsk and Kharkiv. In Luhansk the Security Service of Ukraine’s head office and the National Bank branch were stormed and seized. The SBU head office in Donetsk was seized as well.
