Mikalai Autukhovich left a prison in Hrodna at 8 a.m.
About 50 people, most of them journalists, were waiting for him outside the prison building since 5:30, Nasha Niva reports.
Mikalai Autukhovich said after the release the main thing for him was recovery. He thanked everyone for their support.
“They would have rotten me without your support,” he said. Autukhovich notes there are many inmates, whom people don't know and don't support, dying in prisons.
