Miasnikovich tells how $1.5bn disappeared

The Belarusian government will discuss new approaches to forecasts of economic development.

The availability of credits will be a priority issue. The government admits that bank loans are not available for most manufacturers, which impedes the proper development of enterprises and the implementation of investment projects. The governments is working out a tool that will allow cheaper loans.

The Belarusian agro-industrial sector will face the new approaches and requirements, too.

“Of course, the issues of responsibility of the staff for following the production process and observing discipline are important. It makes us lose about 1.5 billion dollars of revenues. We need to spare every cent,” PM Mikhail Miasnikovich said.

The government plans to discuss the issues at meetings in each region of the country.
