Ukrainians hold roundtable discussion of National Unity (Online)

Ukrainian politicians discuss future of their country.

Ex-presidents of Ukraine Leonik Kravchyk and Leonid Kuchma, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and members of the government, deputies, presidential candidates, hedas of regional administrations and chairmen of regional councils, representatives of local self-government organs, public and international organisations; scientists, religious organisations leaders, businessmen, community workers have been invited to participate in the roundtable discussion, Korrespondent writes.

The initiative of holding such round table discussions was announced on May 8 by a joint statement of the acting president of Ukraine, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Turchynov and Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

The aim of the dialogue is forming a national consensus on key issues of the Ukrainian society. The proposals generated with participation of all political forces are to be implemented by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, among other ways through mechanisms of making amendments to the Constitution and legislation of Ukraine.
