In four months rouble lost 5%

Cash dollar exchange rate has grown by 4.8% since the start of the year, and each month the growth rate speeds up.

In the first half of May 2014 the average exchange rate of the cash US dollar has grown by 0.26% (from 9.997.5 to 10.023.5 roubles). This follows from BelaPAN’s constant monitoring of the quotations suggested by the head offices of Belarusian banks.

The average bid rate has grown by 0.36% (from 9.964 to 10.000 roubles), while the ask rate has grown by 0.16% (from 10.031 to 10.047). The maximum bid price has grown from 9.990 to 10.010 roubles, the minimum ask price – from 10.000 to 10.035, the maximum – dropped from 10.190 to 10.150, which is caused by the National Bank’s restrictions for the time of the Ice Hockey World Championship.

In January the American currency grew in price by 0.64%, in February – by 1.51%, in March – by 0.97%, in April – by 1.29%, since the start of the year – by 4.76%.
