Governor built bedchamber for himself in central Homel?

24

Private quarters for rest have been made in Lange Street in central Homel for the chairman of the regional executive committee.

Charter97.org was informed about that by a visitor of the website, who refers to a personal source in Homel regional executive committee.

“Part of a building in Lange Street 17 is being prepared for personal use of the current governor. Bedclothing, tableware, house utensils are being bought, everything up to the littlest detail, like the colour of the crockery, is to be approved,” the reader informed.

“This building does not have a separate entrance, as it is a concert hall, where lots of events are organized. It is planned that one is to enter via the central entrance, through the second floor,” our reader adds.

The news arrived 4 days ago. We were not able confirm or refute it, and the editorial staff decided not to inform about that. However, as it turned out, the Investigation Committee of Belarus is carrying out procedural activities in the criminal case against the detained officials of Homel regional executive committee. Probably, it could be connected to the reports received by us.

The criminal case on abuse of public authority and official misconduct has been opened by the Prosecutor General of Belarus on the materials of the Main Directorate for Combating Organised Crime and Corruption under the Interior Affairs Ministry. The details of the crime and names of the detained are not revealed. Apparently, who are meant here are assistants of Uladzimir DvornikValyantsina Barysenka and Viktar Tryzna.
