Fans of Russia’s football team, who want to organize a march along Minsk streets on May 9, the opening day of the Ice Hockey Championship, should negotiate an approval of the Interior Ministry of Belarus.
It has been stated on Friday at a press-conference in Minsk by the first deputy minister of culture Uladzimir Karacheuski, Interfax-Zapad informs.
“One should get an authorization for any demonstration. This issue is within the scope of the Interior Affairs Ministry of Belarus and the Ideology department of Minsk city executive committee,” he said.
Earlier the president of the Fans club Russia Unites Eduard Latypov said that Russian fans planned to march in an organized column in central Minsk on May 9.
In its turn, the Belarusian Interior Affairs Ministry warns that foreign fans, except for citizens of Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania and Latvia, should be registered by a registering authority within 5 days (after arrival), with the exception of weekends and public holidays.
Registration of foreigners who are temporarily staying in Belarus is carried out at hotels, sanatorium-and-spa resorts, rural tourism institutions or by the departments of citizenship and migration. For registration a citizen should have an application, a migration card, a passport and a written proof of payment.
