Myasnikovich ordered collective farmers to work without holidays

Employees of agricultural enterprises and their executive should forget about leaves for the period of fodder procurement.

Such a demand has been voiced by the head of the Belarusian government Mikhail Myasnikovich at a session of the Council of Ministers today, BelTA informs.

“The period of fodder conservation has started, that is why I order to ban all leaves and long business trips of high-ranking officials, other measures of low priority, in order to focus attention of workers on following the technologies and regulations of forage conservation,” Prime Minister said. The government would be thankful to the State Control Committee if these issues would be taken under control. The time of begging to adhere to regulations and requirements is over, he stressed.

In general, touching upon the work of the agricultural sector, Mikhail Myasnikovich stated that a great number of problems exist. The main reason for blatant facts of mismanagement, shortcomings which had been found by controlling bodies and interdepartmental working group on solving problems of the agribusiness, are subjective factors. Prime Minister believes workforce is a problem, they cannot or do not want to farm, to carry on business properly, or they know how to, but do not do that still.
