The BRSM first secretary proposed publishing names of convicted drug dealers on the Internet.
Ihar Buzouski, the first secretary of the BRSM (the pro-Lukashenka youth organisation) and deputy chairman of the standing committee of the “council of the republic” on education, science, culture and social development, said it today to journalists, BelTA informs.
“I don't know how people will take it, but we want to publish names of the people, who were convicted for selling drugs, in the media and on the Internet. Their names, surnames and photos. I will be honest, I didn't find them on the Internet. You can find bribe takers and murderers. But why don't we see those who sell illegal drugs? These people must know that society condemns them,” he said.
The BRSM head notes the problem of drug abuse has many aspects and cannot be solve only by bans. “We won't succeed by only catching, punishing and imprisoning,” Buzouski said. The problem of drugs should be solved also by educating people in general.
