Tomas Surovy leaves HC Dinamo Minsk

HC Dinamo Minsk (Belarus' only representative in the KHL) announced about the rescission of the contract with Slovak forward Tomas Surovy on 26 May.

BelTA learnt it from the official website of the Belarusian hockey club.

The contract was terminated upon the mutual agreement of the parties. HC Dinamo Minsk thanked the player for the season he spent with the Bisons. Last year Tomas Surovy signed a two-year contract with the Minsk team. He appeared in 62 games of the 2013/14 regular season and the Nadezhda Cup tournament, posting 28 (11+17) points, 22 penalty minutes and a -13 rating.

The Dinamo Minsk roster has nine foreign players for now. Among them is goalkeeper Lars Haugen (Norway), defensemen Nick Bailen (United States), Lukas Krajicek (Czech Republic), Ivan Svarny (Slovakia), forwards Ryan Vesce (United States), Paul Szczechura, Jonathan Cheechoo, Matt Ellison (all Canada), and Charles Linglet (Canada, holds a Belarusian passport).

The Belarusian club will use its 6+1 formula (6 foreign players and one foreign goalkeeper) in the KHL 2014/15 season.
