A protest action against the Eurasian Economic Union was held in Minsk's Kastrychnitskaya Square.
Three activists of the youth organisation Alternative held the protest on May 29, BelaPAN reports.
Volha Burnevich, Volha Zhurauliova and Siarhei Kachur raised a poster “Death to Kremlin occupants!” in Kastrychnitskaya Square at 19:00. A police bus appeared some minutes later. The activists were detained and taken to the Tsentralny district police station.
Three hours later, Zhurauliova was set free. She was charged with organising an unsanctioned picket. She is to appear in court on June 2.
“Perhaps, Volha was allowed to go, because she came to the protest with her little kid,” organisation chairman Aleh Korban said.
The rest activists will probably remain in custody until trial.
