Parubiy: Russian saboteurs prepare provocations in 7 regions on May 9

Russian saboteurs plan provocations in seven regions, including Kyiv, on May 9.

Andriy Parubiy, the Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, said it to journalists before a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, RBC-Ukraine reports.

“Russian saboteurs plan provocations on May 8 – May 9. Ukraine is doing its best to prevent them. Provocations are planned both in eastern regions and in Kyiv. I mean the continuation of Russia's special operation with the code name 'Russian Spring' that targets six regions: Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhia and Odessa. This is the belt that Putin called the southeast for some reason. He thinks this territory should have a special status. We expect provocations in this area on May 9 and ahead of May 9,” Parubiy said.

Russian subversive groups and local separatists began to seize administration buildings in Ukraine's eastern regions on April 6.
