Terrorist attack threat in Kyiv on May 9 exists

The authorities implement different measures to prevent a terrorist attack.

It has been stated by the interim deputy president Andrei Senchenko, Ukrainskaya Pravda informs.

Commenting on the reports about growing tensions ahead of May 9 and about expected stepping up of subversive activities of saboteurs, Senchenko said:

“Thanks to intelligence of security agencies, including the net of agents, we have learnt that different kinds of actions to destabilize the situation, and possibly, terrorist attacks, are being planned.”

As said by Senchenko, that is why all directions of possible terrorist attack targets are studied at the moment. They include public transport, mass assembly places and possible clashes of people of conflicting political views.

Senchenko has also added that the Ukrainian authorities should pass the information about an intention to traffic a large lot of drugs from Trans-Dniester and border areas to Luhansk and Donetsk regions in Ukraine.

“To be more precise, they are going to drown our country in these drugs. That is why I am addressing citizens: help our border guards to discover these drugs, as you have children, we have many young men, and drugs could be spread among them,” he urged.
