National bolshevik Paliakou sentenced to 10 days in custody

The activist was sent to a detention centre in Akrestsin Street.

Activist of the National Bolshevik movement Aliaksandr Paliakou was sentenced to 10 days in custody for disorderly conduct (article 17.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences). The press service of the organising committee to create the National Bolshevik Party says the trial was held in Minsk's Zavadski district court.

Paliakou was detained on May 6 as he was leaving his home. He wasn't tried yesterday, because policemen didn't make a police report properly, BelaPAN informs.

National bolshevik activists Dzmitry Paliyenka, Dzianis Sakhar and Yauhen Kontush were ordered to visit a police station. Police officers and unidentified men in civilian clothes were waiting for them outside their flats on May 6.

“The activist of the law-enforcement agencies is linked to a recent protest against politically motivated prosecutions,” the organising committee is confident. On May 4, National bolshevik activists held a protest ahead of the Ice Hockey World Championship in Minsk. They raised the banner with Lukashenka's portrait “You cannot jail everyone” near the main entrance to Cheliuskintsy Park. The activists also handed out leaflets in the park.
