Georgia denies information from Belarusian KGB

United Airports of Georgia company has denied the information about the attempted plane hijacking in Minsk.

The information that a Georgian national tried to hijack the plane flying from Kutaisi to Minsk is not true, News Georgia cites the press service of United Airports of Georgia.

It became known on Tuesday, June 10, that Belarusian KGB officers detained a citizen of Georgia who, according to the Belarusian law-enforcement agencies, had tried to hijack the plane flying from Kutaisi to Minsk.

The press service of United Airports of Georgia, that owns Kutaisi airport, says there were no attempts to hijack the plane, but confirmed a Georgian national had been detained by the Belarusian KGB.
