Police carry out illegal searches in villages of Homel region

People living in the village Kastrychnitski and the village Razhnou complain about the police.

Charter97.org has learnt it from a reader.

“The police abuse their power in the village of Kastrychnitski and the village of Razhnou in the Homel region. For example, the police came to an old woman, entered her house without any explanations, searched it and checked documents of the people living in the house. Her son asked to explain the actions, but the policeman answered: 'We just want to do it.' They then left the house,” the reader writes.

Kastrychnitski's police department declined to comment on the incident to a charter97.org correspondent.
