The Prime Minister of Belarus slammed the work on reconstruction and modernization of flax-processing plants.
It is stated in the report of the press-service of the government following the results of the session of the Council of Ministers presidium, where the problem of the flax industry development.
As said by the Prime Minister, modernization deadlines are not met, reports on the state of affairs at enterprises often do not correspond the reality, the industry is loss-making – in January-April this year only flax factories of Brest and Hrodna regions operated at a profit. “Much has been poured into the industry, but there is no result,” Myasnikovich said.
The Prime Minister expressed an opinion that it is necessary to pay more attention to control over implementation of projects on modernization of flax factories and take harsh measures against those who fail to meet the deadlines.
Besides, the head of the government directed attention to untreated flax fibres. “We should process all the remains of previous years before the crop of 2014,” he stressed.
