The Belarusian dictator has been invited to the swearing-in ceremony of the 5th President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
It is to take place in Kyiv on June 7, BelaPAN informs.
As said by the spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyjnis, the invitation addressed to the leader of the Belarusian state has been sent already. “We have not received an answer yet. I know that our Belarusian colleagues are preparing an answer. We have not been said yet who is to represent Belarus,” the spokesperson noted.
Mr. Perebyjnis has also stressed that about 20 leaders of states and governments have already confirmed their participation in the ceremony. The Ukrainian side is getting ready to welcome the President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski, Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaitė, Vice President of the US Joe Biden, the head of the Swiss Foreign Ministry Didier Burkhalter, the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier.
Russia has been invited to the inauguration at the level of a representative of the Embassy in Kyiv.
