Belarusian embassy in Moscow purchases $1.4 million worth decorations

Employees of the Belarusian embassy in Moscow are not very modest.

From what the charter97.org web-site has learnt, the organizer of the purchase is Building Trust number 8 in Brest acting in the interest of the Belarusian embassy in Minsk.

The subject of the order comprises of two lots. First of all, the embassy’s business and cultural complex expects a delivery of textiles and decoration elements, a thematic curtain made of chain net with decoration elements for the stage of the concert hall, a curtain made of metal chains for the walls of the lobby worth of almost 42.9 million Russian roubles. Secondly, the embassy seeks to install a decorative drop ceiling of ceramics in the bar zone and tiles worth of over 6.2 million Belarusian roubles. Altogether the said decorations will cost 1.4 million dollars according to today’s exchange rates by Russia’s Central Bank. It is not explained, where the Belarusian embassy gets such money from.

We would point out that yesterday the charter97.org web-site reported of the purchase of many hundred thousand worth of golden dishes for Lukashenka’s new residence.
